Analyzing a Sample TOEFL or IELTS - How to Do It
Analyzing a Sample TOEFL or IELTS - How to Do It?The question I asked to all of my ISB Essay and TOEFL and IELTS students is: do you know how to analyze a sample TOEFL or IELTS? It was really very easy for me to answer the question, because I was also trying to determine if my own students were knowledgeable enough to understand what the students of other schools have to deal with.To be perfectly honest, most students had no idea how to analyze a sample IELTS, which is quite a shame because the very same student could be pretty well fluent in Chinese. One of my students was able to say that she knew nothing about Chinese, but she knew enough to pass the English Language Assessment Test (ELAT). How many students did that?I will not even start to count the number of students who failed to recognize the sampling of sample essay questions and so on. It is a real tragedy, because by knowing the value of a sample, they are better prepared to learn the things they need to know from the stud ents who will face it during their assessments. In fact, a lot of these students are quite enthusiastic when it comes to learning, and they really appreciate the fact that we understand and are looking out for their interests. But this is not enough, so it would be best to employ a firm framework that will teach them what to expect on a test. Yes, even if they already know how to do something, if you can demonstrate your commitment to learning through example, they are going to love you for it.There are plenty of resources where you can acquire sample essays and tests to utilize in your study sessions. However, sometimes, even though these samples may be authentic, the students are unable to realize that. This would then result in confusion and a loss of motivation. When it comes to analyzing a sample TOEFL or IELTS, there are various approaches. Some of them include writing answers in a formula, applying certain skills such as logical thinking, being aware of your fluency, being curi ous and questioning the whole procedure and so on. It is important to remember that you cannot just look for any sample essays and samples, but only those that are designed in such a way that it is easy for the students to use. When it comes to looking for various sample questions and essay writing, the students are going to need to use their abilities in order to decipher what they need to do, and then make use of these tools. You cannot just look for some random essay for your students to analyze, otherwise, they will do whatever is necessary to reach the end of the essay. If you want to find a way to analyze a sample TOEFL or IELTS for your students, just remember the fact that you must design them in such a way that they are easy to comprehend and use. Since there are hundreds of ways to do it, it would be best if you are going to get students to use the tools you have in your disposal to do it.
